Wichita Post Mortem

For those of you following along, BJ won 5 of 12 ballots in Wichita. That's a pretty good showing for a first-timer and a junior! What you should also know is that in terms of "strength of competition" 4 of his 6 opponents broke into the semi's. I think he learned a lot and should be able to return next year with all the new found knowledge.

The team benefited as well. With Coty, Mike and John along to watch BJ, the next few years will be exciting. Unlike the last trips, this time we had some "eyes" who will be back to the team to pass on their knowledge. If that doesn't improve the team, nothing will. Vegas is next year. Alabama after that.

We managed to find plenty to do out on the prairie. We started to rate Mexican restaurants since they were plentiful but stuck to Taco Bueno, a local chain. There was plenty to see along the river and downtown. A fun time was had by all. The team's departure was delayed a day so we all "roughed it" at the Airport Hilton on the airline's tab. I'll let the team members give the real details of the trip.

I'll get north soon to return all the stuff that wouldn't go on the plane.
