This Year's First Speech and Debate Meeting

I will be hosting our first whole team meeting on Tuesday Sept. 4 in my new room in the trailer at 2:45. This will be a "welcome back" and "begin work" session. Debate folks have topics to research and speech folks need to begin hunting for pieces. Mrs. Sirois will likely be busy with field hockey that day but we have a few new team ideas to put forth. BJ, team Prez, will also likely have some leadership issues he'd like to bring up as well. (Some of us want to go to Vegas in June!)

I will be attending the fall coaches meeting on Friday Sept. 7 and we should have an official schedule that day.

Pass the word about the meeting, as I will, as soon as school starts. Tell everyone to use "The Blog" and to contact BJ or me to get back on. We need to use this at least until First Class is fully back. Please be sure Speech, LD, PF or Debate, as appropriate, is in your subject line when you post. This way each activity can sift through what is theirs, but also see what the other is doing (we are a "team" after all).

BJ will be recruiting freshman at Freshman Step Up Day, Wednesday the 29th (12:30pm or so) and can use some help. He will also be handing out the gifts we bought for the various SAD21 people who helped us get to Wichita. Contact BJ ASAP.
