First Trophies of the Year!

Scarborough hasn't had a tournament since about 2002 so this was an experience last Saturday 10/25. Not many major traumas except Abby may never be the same. She spent the whole day in debate TAB with Mr. Conant and Mr. Haskell doing all manner of important but dull things. She did stellar work and didn't complain much - you could tell she loved knowing secret details that she could hold over people's heads all day. Thanks Abby!

In the end, Mike got 2nd for LDV. (I did enjoy announcing "Dirigo" when I read off the recipient). Mike will blame a certain judge that he always loses with, but I will say, you guys need to "adapt, improvise and overcome" (Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge). The first one to win twice in a row from that judge will get dinner paid for by yours truly. (collect it at Nationals)

Later in speech, Chelsea got first for DI! Now that's going to be a tough one to keep. It's an NFL category and the best of the best compete in it. All she has to do is improve visibly every week until June 15th. No big deal.
